Steve Treharne, chair of South Wales Police Federation, has paid tribute to Sergeant Mark Woodward on the anniversary of his death.

Mark was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident when travelling to duty on 14 June 2002. He was 30.

Steve said: “It’s important that we take the time to remember our fallen colleagues. 

“Today, members from South Wales Police Federation are sending thoughts and prayers to Mark’s family, friends and colleagues.

“We will never forget the impact Mark had on the Force, as well as his colleagues, and his dedication to serving his communities. He continues to be missed by all.”
