Tribute to South Wales PC

South Wales Police Federation secretary Clare Biddlecombe has paid tribute to PC Andrew James who was killed in the line of duty.

Andrew was hit by a car as a he chased a burglar outside Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff on 2 August 2003. He later died in hospital, aged 38.

Clare said: “Andrew was a dedicated police officer, a loyal husband and a devoted father. He was committed to policing and was respected by all who knew him and worked with him.

“The thoughts of everyone at South Wales Police Federation are with Andrew’s friends and family.”
