South Wales Police Federation chair Steve Treharne has paid tribute to PC Ralph Friend on the 27th anniversary of his death.

Ralph died in a motorcycle accident as he was travelling home from duty on 2 November 1994. He was 28.

Steve said: “The thoughts of everyone at South Wales Police Federation are with Ralph’s family, friends and colleagues on this difficult day.

“It’s important for us to continue to honour and remember our fallen colleagues and Ralph’s service and dedication to policing should never be forgotten.”
