Tributes have been paid by South Wales Police Federation to Sergeant Mark Woodward on the 20th anniversary of his death.

Mark was riding his motorbike to work when he was fatally injured in a collision on 14 June 2002. He was 30.

Federation branch chair Steve Treharne said: “Mark was a dedicated officer, who was respected and liked by his colleagues, and we’re thankful for his service to the public.

“The thoughts of everyone at South Wales Police Federation are with Mark’s family, friends and colleagues on this difficult day.”
