South Wales Police Federation chair Steve Treharne has remembered PC Leslie Sears on the anniversary of his death.

Leslie (28) died in a road accident while on traffic patrol on 21 July 1970.

Steve said: “Police officers put themselves in harm’s way every day to serve and protect the public and all too often they pay the ultimate price.

“Our thoughts today are with Leslie’s family, friends and colleagues. He shall never be forgotten.”
