I would like to take the opportunity to wish our members and their families a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

It has been a demanding 12 months but you have continued to act with professionalism and dedication to keep our communities safe and secure.

Christmas will, as always, be a busy time for frontline police officers but I hope at some stage over the festive period you get the opportunity to relax with family and friends and take a well-earned break from the pressures of work.
