South Wales Police Federation has paid tribute to PC Ian Godfrey on the anniversary of his death.

Ian was fatally injured in a road traffic accident in Clydach, Swansea, while travelling as a passenger in a patrol car on 20 June 1999. He was 30 and had been an officer with South Wales Police for just 18 months.

Branch chair Steve Treharne said: "South Wales Police Federation sends thoughts and prayers to Ian’s family, friends and former colleagues. He continues to be missed by those whose lives he touched."
