Tributes have today been paid to PC Jeffrey Phillips on the anniversary of his death.

Jeffrey died in a road accident while he was instructing on a motorcycle course on 22 July 1983. He was 35.

South Wales Police Federation chair Steve Treharne said: “Today we remember PC Jeffrey Phillips and pay tribute to his service and dedication.

“Our thoughts are with Jeffrey’s family, friends and former colleagues as they remember a loved one who paid the ultimate price in serving the public.”
