Annual Conference: Packed agenda gets underway today

The annual Police Federation of England and Wales’s (PFEW) conference kicks off today - and there’s still chance for members in South Wales to have their say.

Members can register here to be part of the conference and join in a packed programme of discussions.

The conference will bring together decision makers, key stakeholders, and policing experts to discuss the issues that matter to PFEW, members and the service.

Hosted by broadcaster Ian Collins, today’s day one agenda includes discussions on leadership in policing, Home Office review impact on independent panels, and disclosure and redaction, as well as retirement, misogyny, and Mutual Aid.

The agenda for day two will explore industrial rights, and wellbeing, and there will be a keynote address from PFEW chair Steve Hartshorn and a Q&A panel session.

Awards recognising outstanding contributions in roads policing, detectives, and women in policing will be handed out.

Members who are unable to be part of the conference can follow it and join in the discussions on social media using the hashtag #PFEW23
