South Wales Police Federation today remembers a South Wales PC who died on this day in 1996.

PC Anthony Ashmore, 38, died in a motorbike accident as he responded to an emergency call on 31 March 1996.

Federation branch chair Steve Treharne commented: “Anthony’s tragic death was felt across the Force and today we remember him and the service he gave to the Force and the communities it serves. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and his former colleagues who continue to feel his loss.”
